The 4th Social Green Project meeting

From January 16 to 18, the cities of Tartu and Tallinn will host the 4th project meeting of Social Green and the 7th interregional event of FINERPOL project which will include a Political Board Meeting, workshop and study visits.

The event, organized by Tartu Regional Energy Agency, will take place in the Dorpat Conference Center in Tartu (16th-17th of January) and in Meriton hotel in Tallinn (18th of January).

Firstly, on the 16th there will be a common (SocialGreen and Finerpol) conference/seminar about innovative financing schemes for social housing retrofitting. Afterwards, there will be shared some Best Practices in Europe in the financing of energy efficiency in the social housing sector as the Kredex financing scheme (by Kredex ) and The Estonian model on financing of renovation of multi-apartment buildings.

Next day, there will be a study visit in Tartu where the attendees will see two renovated buildings.

Last day, there will be two Study visits in Tallinn. FINERPOL and Social Green project partners will have some study visits to learn more about the Estonian expertise on the financing of energy efficiency in the social housing sector field. On the one hand, partners will visit “Teachers’ house”- the newest nearly zero building in Estonia, developed by the City of Tallinn, as municipality building stock, and meant for teachers. On the other hand, they will visit a university student house (dormitory) renovated in 2017 to nZEB building level.

Attendants will also have time for networking and exchange of experience.

The next edition of the European Union Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) will take place from 15 to 19 June 2015.

EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) is an initiative of the European Commission that first took place in 2006 with hundreds of organisations and individuals participating each year. Through bottom-up efforts, organisers of EUSEW Energy Days, events and activities connect directly with citizens and energy stakeholders at local, regional and national levels. The combined results of EUSEW efforts are helping Europe reach its energy goals.
